The Cybersecurity Crisis – Presentation and Video
Presenter: Tony Coulson, PhD, CSUSB
Over the past 12 years, Professor Coulson has made it his mission to demonstrate to the community, state and nation techniques to forward Cyber Security education. Within his university, Tony’s major accomplishment has been his work to have the University recognized as a National Center of Academic Excellence in Information Assurance education. This recognition, given to only 110 universities, opened the door for grants, scholarships, and job opportunities for CSUSB students.
In 2008, Tony was awarded the Innovative Excellence Award in Teaching, Learning and Technology at the International Conference of Teaching and Learning.
As the Director of the Cal State San Bernardino Cyber Security Center, Tony has worked with industry and government to map out opportunities for students and Cyber Security strategies for the nation. Tony runs multiple programs that provide specialized skills to the Federal government as well as the DoD. Tony is also one of the founders of Cyberwatch West, a national Advanced Technology Education Center focusing on Cyber Security in the western United States.

Dr. Mohammad Husain is a professor of computer science and cyber security at Cal Poly Pomona. He is the director of PolySec Lab, a center for cyber security research, education and outreach supported by grants from the National Science Foundation, Department of Homeland Security and National Security Agency as well as industry sponsors such Intel, Northrop Grumman and Boeing. Dr. Husain is also the director of nationally recognized programs such as CPP-SFS CyberCorps Scholarship and CPP GenCyber program at Cal Poly Pomona. His professional involvements include organizations such as IEEE, ACM and Usenix.

Cyber Threats and Trends: A Discussion on Cyber Threats and the Impacts of Privacy Breaches Including Data Loss
Presented by: SA Angelica Gottardi, FBI Los Angeles
Special Agent Angelica Gottardi has been a Special Agent with the FBI since 2004. SA Gottardi has a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology and specialized in Database Management. Prior to entering on duty with the FBI, SA Gottardi was employed by Raytheon Integrated Defense Systems and the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department. From 2008 to 2013, SA Gottardi was assigned to a DOJ Task Force in Los Angeles in the Long Beach Resident Agency, where she was responsible for complex white collar criminal investigations. SA Gottardi is currently assigned to a Cyber Squad in the Orange County Resident Agency, where she is responsible for conducting counterterrorism, counterintelligence and criminal cyber investigations.
